SCHOOL REGULATION
1. REGISTRATION
Registration is required for each new course entry, for each course paused for more than a month, and for each new level. The fee is $500 MXN. Payment includes digital materials sent to the email provided. Students can request a Certificate of Study at the beginning of the course and a Certificate of Course Completion with the hours taught. These certificates are not official diplomas; they are documents that verify the number of class hours in a course.
By registering, the student accepts the school's Terms and Conditions, along with the Class Regulations. The student agrees to make the required monthly payments and attend classes during the course period. In return, the teacher agrees to teach the classes within the specified period.
Registration is valid for one year if the course is not interrupted, or until the student completes the level in which he or she is enrolled.
2. MATERIAL
The materials consist of a textbook and a digital activity book in PDF format. The cost is included in the registration fee and is sent via a WeTransfer link to the student's email or WhatsApp. Students will have a limit of three days after the submission date to download the documents. After this period, there will be an additional cost to request the link again. In addition, a series of documents, such as a Vocabulary List by Topic and a Verb List, will be shared monthly according to the topic studied during the period.
To maintain an eco-friendly mindset, it is recommended to use the digital materials with a tablet or computer, as long as they can take notes in the book. For those who prefer printing, it will be their responsibility to print the documents using the provided PDF (A4 format in color or black and white).
The content of the presentations and additional documents included in the Material is the property of Allo Français ®, and the teacher will be responsible for presenting the content in class. Teachers will have the right to record using Zoom, but may not send the presentations to students, except on very special occasions and previously agreed upon with Allo Français ®. Taking photos of the presentations will also not be accepted, unless authorized by the teacher.
3. GROUP ENVIRONMENT
The most important thing in class is to learn efficiently and enjoyably. Combining learning with a love of the language ensures greater efficiency and ensures that the time spent in French classes is a constructive and fun activity. Students can participate in class and express their concerns without feeling embarrassed. Maintaining a respectful attitude among all members of the class is essential, and acceptance is encouraged.
Interruptions related to topics unrelated to French should be brief. Payment and scheduling issues can be discussed outside of class time. Students who would like to share a disability or need more attention with the teacher (color blindness, dyslexia, etc.) can approach the teacher with confidence so they can receive support and adjustments in the most comfortable way. The facilities are equipped to accommodate people with motor disabilities; assistance can always be requested from the teacher when needed.
The classroom is a safe and accepting place, free from discrimination. Offensive language will result in the suspension of viewing rights on YouTube (as the platform filters out prohibited words). Any offensive comments or jokes directed toward the teacher or another student that implicate their age, social status, sexual orientation, love/personal life, background, or religion will result in serious consequences and financial penalties, along with cancellation of the remainder of the course, and eventual ineligibility for future enrollment. Classes are provided as a fun space, and jokes are welcome as long as they do not escalate into bullying and disrespect.
4. CANCELLATIONS AND REPLACEMENTS
Cancellations for individual classes must be made no later than 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a reschedule (and not miss the class). This will be granted if the schedule allows, and preferably within the module being taken. If the schedule does not allow, the instructor may cancel the class or teach the pending topic in the following class. The instructor also reserves the right to add the pending class to the next module or offer compensation via a YouTube video on the topic if the schedule does not allow for a reschedule.
For group class cancellations, they can only be made up if all group members agree to the replacement. During school exam periods, it is understood that French classes may be made up. If a student is going to miss a class, they may be able to view the video on YouTube before the next class.
Each group course lasts 3 classes at a time. Students are advised to consider their 3-month commitment when deciding to enroll. If they decide not to continue with the course, they will have to wait until the end of the third month to find a replacement.
Courses canceled during the new monthly payment are non-refundable. Make-ups cannot be made systematically, taking into account the teacher's capabilities.
5. ABSENCES AND DELAYS
For online classes, the link will be sent via email or WhatsApp at or 10 minutes before the class time. Any group or individual student who connects will be given a 15-minute grace period for lateness. After this time, it will be up to the teacher to decide whether to accept the student in class. The student will miss the Warm-Up time and the question-and-answer period from the previous class.
An absence will be considered if the link is sent and the student does not connect after the 15-minute grace period. The student will be entitled to one absence per module (per month). A second absence will result in a deduction of one class from the module. The commitment to attend and respect the instructor's time is essential for the smooth functioning of both parties. Exceptions can be made for reported emergencies (power outages, software updates, etc.).
6. PAYMENTS AND FEES
Payment must be made in advance and monthly: no class can be taught without prior payment. Payments can only be made by modules/month or packages. No hourly payments are made, unless an extra class is required outside of a module: a fee established by Allo Francais will apply.
Monthly payments are made and must be made before the first class of the next module. A 5% discount will be applied for accumulated payments over 3 months and a 10% discount for 6 months. Once payment is made, class dates are established and clearly communicated upon receipt of each payment.
Payment can be made in cash, for the last class of the previous module, or by bank transfer via deposit at the OXXO bank, as long as proof of payment is provided.
Students cannot request a refund for classes they did not attend.
7. SCHEDULE
Schedules are set by the school. There are afternoon and morning shifts.
Schedule changes cannot be made once the French group opens. However, the teacher reserves the right to move students to another schedule if there is a change in their group.
Fridays are reserved for make-up classes. There are no classes on Saturdays or Sundays. If required, an external hourly rate will apply.
8. HOLIDAYS AND NON-WORKING DAYS
Official holidays will be Summer Break, Easter, September 2nd, and Christmas, as designated by the school.
No work is held on official non-working days; classes are rescheduled for another day, unless students wish to attend.
This does not apply to Intensive courses, where time is limited. (Classes are offered every day or three times a week.)
9. PRIVACY
Online classes offer the option of being recorded by the teacher. Through the Zoom tool, students are notified verbally when the recording is in progress. Students have the right to opt out of the video by turning off their camera. Classes are recorded so that access to the subject matter can be obtained after the class or in case of absence.
The YouTube link is reserved for all registered students. Those who cancel in the middle of the course will be entitled to one more month of access to the link, after which they will no longer be able to access it. It is advisable not to share sensitive information during the recording, such as a personal number, address, or other private information. Although the recording will be essentially reserved for group members, it is the freedom and responsibility of each individual to protect their personal information. Sharing the personal information of people outside the group is prohibited.
Sharing the class link with third parties or using the class content for any purpose other than Allo Français® is prohibited. The content of the classes (videos, Instagram or Facebook posts, presentations, method and material) is reserved for students who are taking classes at school, whether online or in person.
10. EXAMS AND DIPLOMAS ALLO FRANCAIS
Each student can request a follow-up and evaluation of their performance for an additional fee. These assessments consist of a gradual analysis of their abilities throughout the course. This assessment provides greater control and preparation for a possible official exam (DELF, etc.). We offer a placement test and a sample class lasting one hour. The DELF exams last two hours and can be taken online or in person, monitored by the teacher. They cost $300 MXN, and upon passing, the student will receive a Diploma of Allo Francais along with a Certificate of Course Completion.
